Hi @scarfan125 I hope you are feeling a bit better. I'm sorry that you had to experience that - there isn't a valid reason for why they treated you that way, and for people to bully others. In terms of the situation, I wonder if there is anyone at your tafe or high school that you could talk to, maybe a counselor or the teacher? If this also makes you uncomfortable you could maybe reach out through email. Additionally, if there are any online classes maybe you could give those a try? You should be proud for pushing through this and fighting for your education and for yourself. I know it can be hard, but you're doing great!

Not a meme or video, but an account of something wholesome that I experienced. Today I had a statistics class at university. Stats and maths in general for most people is a very boring and difficult subject that people find not enjoyable. However, for uni, I had a unit convenor who was so in love with her job and loved statistics that it cheered up everyone's mood. She was so wholesome, bubbly, sweet, and friendly, and she made me want to learn stats and be part of the lectures. Her personality and mission to make the subject interesting and enjoyable really showed and I really appreciated it.

1. Had a productive day at University - got all my goals done, and more importantly didn't overwork and gave myself breaks. 2. Really good food for lunch AND dinner that I was able to share with my SO 3. Very nice weather today, perfect for me - chilly enough for a jumper, but also sunny and clear skies.

@Bre-RO I love them!! Definitely love adventure! I went on a school trip to Vietnam and Cambodia- The hustle and bustle of the streets is so unique and the smell of delicious food was so lovely. I love visiting countries with their culture and heritage still very untouched by the usual tall skyscraper buildings and roads with cars we see day to day. I went to an Adele concert a few years ago and it was the most surreal experience! My sister and I decided we wanted to start a Mexican wave and soon enough other people in our little seat section caught on and it took like a good 10 minutes but we eventually got the entire stadium to do the mexican wave before the concert began and it was CRAZY!! Seeing so many people do it at once is something I'll probably never see again and it felt so special being a part of it My boyfriend is much more spontaneous than me and brings me on random walks and adventures. He also always says "don't forget to look up" and I really appreciate that because so often we're stuck in our heads and worries or looking down at our phones, and every time I do look up, I see the beauty of the sky or the sun shining through bright green leaves and it makes me so happy Mardi Gras is such a great and colourful celebration and I love all the love that is so evident in the crowds! Food can honestly make my day hahaha after a long day, if i come home and get to have a nice meal, my mood is lifted Laughter is contagious!! I love it! hahaha i also love when an album drops. I'm a taylor swift fan and I love her new album same here hahahaha Sunsets are much better for me

Aw @Janine-RO- thank you so much Yes, it's always hard especially when it's the first passing of someone in your family. I think nobody really knows what to expect or how they will deal with grief and loss until it finally happens. My family and I are doing okay now. Just very happy that his last few days were so memorable and peaceful filled with love and surrounded by all our extended family

@StormySeas17 Aw I'm so glad!! Good to know your thesis supervisor is lovely since sometimes it can be really frustrating and disheartening when they either put too much pressure on you or don't really communicate with you at all. So happy for you! What a coincidence! I'm doing psychopathology and stats too! I love psychopathology even if it's content heavy though because it's one of those units that is actually practically applicable to what I want to do as a career later as a clinical psychologist. :( Aw I'm sorry about your cat but I am so excited you're getting a new kitten! Oo YAYAY!! Gosh I love the feeling of finding lost things haha Thank you so much We're all still dealing with it... grief is weird since you think you're alright but then some random memory or object or smell will remind you of them and it floods back. But overall, everyone in my family is managing alright. My grandma is also doing okay but finding it hard to sleep. I've been spending a lot of time with her lately to make sure she's okay. She's moving in with my family this coming Saturday actually! It'll be a big change for us all but it's for the best. I had my first week back this past week! It's been pretty good so far and I'm really enjoying it. I'm in my third year of studying in a bachelor of psych (honours) right now so I'm on the grind trying to get the grades to be admitted into 4th year honours!! Fingers crossed haha

@Janine-RO Omg that was the most heartwarming video ever!! I would so so so love it if someone came into my train carriage and did that!! Just a small dose of early morning joy Wow!! I love both violin and saxophone so much! I play the cello and have done so for like 12 years now and I still love it although I don't take it as seriously as I used to I love the warm rich and mellow sound of it and it makes me very happy. Same with me though- I love so many different types of music. I think I just love music in general- before covid, I played christmas songs at nursing homes with my family every year to bring people some joy since they often can't see their families much, don't have family, or are too sick to go celebrate with loved ones. I seriously think music can heal! I love when the elderly get up and dance or sing along to the songs I play

@tessy1824 aw hehe I'm glad you like the thread and I can't wait for you to add more! This thread is growing into something I really REALLY love!! And it's so heartwarming to go back on a hard day and read the things that are good in this world. I also love when two strangers smile at each other too! I think it's to do with the saying that goes- A smile goes a long way. It's so true though! Two strangers who know nothing of each other and are going through their own journeys stop to give each other a smile and it feels like humanity is restored and everything will be okay in that moment. Gotta say- also love when the parents just come home from a late night maccas run suddenly hahahaha

@Eden1717 Nature is splendid- something about just being in complete stillness in the woods or near the ocean and hearing sounds of nature with the wind in your hair... aahhh New Zealandddd omggg- I went once and I've been wanting to go back so badly! The grass is such an undescribable green there like it's out of a painting or movie or something!! It just made me so happy

@Janine-RO Aww, I'm glad this thread makes your heart sing! Those are such deeply thought-of things that you love in this world! Yes -something about smells transporting you through time is such a truth. And I love that you randomly chat to people at bus stops and things! I look in the train and bus time to time and I think about how sad it kinda is that everyone is face down looking at their phones when we could be having lively conversation and maybe even making new friends! Is it weird that I have an urge to burst into a happy song sometimes on the train just to see peoples' reactions and get people smiling and laughing together rather than just being on phones What music do you like? I listen to so many genres ranging from classical and romantic to indie pop haha

What a super cute and thoughtful post! I love the idea and am so for self love especially on Valentine's! As much as it's so lovely to have a partner in life, it's also so important to love yourself first 3 things I like about me: I like how driven and passionate I am I like that I've planned to better myself and have goals set for who I'd like to be for myself and for others I like that I care so much for family 3 things that I appreciate about others: I love when people help elderly people cross the street I appreciate it when other people stand up for what they believe in even if they're a minority and feel they might not be heard or were hurt many times before I appreciate those people who actively show they care about me

1. I'm most excited for getting into routine again and seeing friends on campus 2. My favourite subject I think will be child and adolescent psychology! Apparently, it's a super good unit and very interesting too 3. My goals include meeting new people and making new friends, putting my self-care plan into action and sticking to it, and getting an average WAM of 75 (requirement to get into honours yr!) 4. Not everything can go to plan- life's messy sometimes! But that's okay- things always work itself out. You will be okay.

Hey @Charlie-29-1999 Thank you for sharing your story. Its very brave of you! I am so glad that your dad has apologised and that your relationship is better now. Sometimes it can take a lot for a parent to remember or bring themselves to apologise. I know some parents have the mindset that they're never wrong and the kid is always wrong- can be very toxic! I'm happy for you that you got the apology you deserve. Even after an apology though it is completely valid to still feel hurt sometimes especially if it's something that has deeply affected you. I hope you continue your journey of healing and we're always here to listen!

Hey! No problem at all Ooo!! So happy you're excited to do your thesis! That sounds like such an interesting topic! And I'm so glad you were able to get an extension. YES! The Good Place was a very good show haha Aww I hope that she'll come back to you though safe and sound. Losing your craft project must have been so upsetting! Are you planning on starting a new one soon? What type of craft do you like to do? From time to time, I paint with my sister because there's something about the movement of a brush that is just so calming and satisfying to watch! Not the best painter, but I mostly just do it for enjoyment The past week for me honestly has been really sad. My grandfather unfortunately passed away about a week ago now. I feel like my family was preparing for it years and years ago since his health was deteriorating a lot and he's had so many surgeries and medical procedures, and yet, when he passed, it seemed way too fast. We had a funeral service which was beautiful and I said a eulogy which was good for me I think, because it gave me a chance to reflect and grieve. I'm a Christian, so I'm happy for him too because he's in heaven with God- he looked so, so peaceful when he passed and things weirdly fell into place! The days leading up to it, we took him to his favourite place in North Head to look at the ocean, he had his favourite sushi, he had one pill left in his medication, the timing was something to be grateful for too (my sister is moving to Melbourne for uni in about a week and was feeling really uncomfortable about moving knowing my grandpa was sick- almost like he wanted her heart at peace too), and just so many things. The weather was dreary too for a while until the day of his funeral the sun suddenly just shone through (he loves the sun so much), and he passed away so comfortably at home while just resting on his favourite recliner after a nice dinner which allowed our whole extended family to be with him and say our goodbyes (much better than in the hospital where there's still limited visits and time). I think I'm also at peace with it all now. Just been looking after my grandma for now lately and sleeping over at her place so she doesn't feel so alone. Now I'm just trying my best to enjoy the last part of the holiday before uni! Hopefully it's a better and less stressful year than the last.
