Hi @MemphisBelle ! I hope you are feeling alright, and that you start to feel more hopeful and excited for your bday, and If not, that is also okay. Not everyone needs to celebrate their bday, not everyone is into that thing and that is okay if you are more comfortable that way. Additionally, I personally think you are also still a young adult. I'm actually also coming up on my 21st bday in April as well and I'm also feeling a bit nervous as people say 21 is when your supposed to be responsible and "all grown up". But I know that everyone has their own pace in life and that you decide what you are. Personally never going to let go of my inner kid no matter how old I get.

Hi @Macaria Hope you are alright, and that your recovery is going well. It can be really upsetting and disappointing when something you are really keen on gets derailed for one reason or another. But I'm sure you will find another time in the future to make your dance video, and in the meantime maybe you can think up of new dances? (idk if that's possible if your resting, but just throwing ideas out). Do you know how long your recovery will take?

Hi @A_Friend and everyone else ! Im proud of you for trying to stick to your goals as best as you can. Personally, I've been finding the start of the year busier than I anticipated but in a good way. I've been in a cycle of working, interning, and setting myself up for the coming semester in Uni. Of course, I try to also find time to rest. I have been putting off cleaning my room, which I really need to do. I really hope that everyone has a great year and that we all get through the next few weeks well!

Hey @DonnaOrn ! Hope you are doing well and processing things in a healthy way. Chances are - that vehicle might already have had some damage, it wouldn't be uncommon or unlikely, and I'm glad it gives you even a little bit of comfort. I think the important thing is to try to continue past the situation as I'm not sure if you will find the other individual and their car. I'm sure that you are a good person with no ill intentions - don't feel so guilty and responsible for it as it was an accident. Everyone makes mistakes, and at least no one was hurt, and I feel like if the person wanted to get back at you either to discuss things or get compensation, he would also try to reach out and as you've said, there hasn't been any luck finding him. Hope you feel better friend

Hi @iwantkrispykremedonuts I hope you are feeling okay, and that you have had a good break from school. I think you should give him some space, and take what he said at face value. Regardless of whether he is too busy with other commitments, or he just said that as an excuse, he still does mean that he is not ready for a relationship right now. I think chasing after him might just push him away even more if you were to press forward romantically. If I were you, I would reach out in a friendly way and casually and see if things warm up from there but take it easy. You could also spend this time working on yourself through self-care and self-improvement as this break that we have is a great period to do so. I hope things work out friend!

Hi @DonnaOrn I may not have advice as to what you should do about the car situation, however, don't feel bad about yourself. You did not mean to do it, it was an accident, you are not a bad person. If I'm being honest, I don't think you deserve your car getting intentionally keyed and scratched up - however, I understand the other person must have been frustrated. But that said, two wrongs don't make a right. I hope you are feeling better, and have found some resolution to the situation.

Hi @Clementine75 Just wanted to check in and see if you were doing better this new year. As some of the others have already said on their great feedback and comments, there is nothing wrong with wanting to take your time and sort things through your head especially on big plans. As a matter of fact, I think its better to take your time on big things, rather than rushing it and making an immediate decision.

Hi @WheresMySquishy That's a really interesting statement to say, and I think it's great that you are breaking the mold of what "female gamers" are expected to be. You're a gamer, and I don't think there should be any difference in expectation and treatment regardless of gender as long as everyone is having fun and being respectful. Keep doing you!

Hi @Jardin Im so proud of you for sticking it through no matter how hard it may have felt to stay. I think the more you learn about your job, and how to do your job well - the less trapped and scared you may feel while being there. I know it was like that for me. Its great to hear that you are doing better. Keep going strong friend !

Hi @Bella2 ! I really hope you had a great holiday, great Christmas, and a good New Years. Thanks for this post and spreading the postivity My best Christmas memory is setting of fireworks with my whole extended family as a kid in the Philipines. My favourite sweet and savory food during Christmas is hot cocoa with marshmallows and a candy cane dipped inside, and any type of cheese snacks / foods. One of the best gifts given to me at Christmas is the experience of building my own custom computer with my Dad. Did I believe in santa growing up ? - Yes but more as a character, and not someone who is giving me gifts. Growing up my parents didn't try their hardest to convince my siblings and me that the easter bunny, tooth fairy, Santa, etc doesn't exist. However, I still love them as Iconic characters and keeping the spirit of the holiday.

Hi @Sarah_472 First of all, you are not designed for nothing. You will find something you enjoy, and find direction in your life. There is nothing wrong with feeling a little lost. For your family situation I understand the frustration of having your parents shelter you, and then suddenly expect you to be in serious relationships, really independent, mature, self-sufficient, etc when they held you back from developing those skills in the first place. At least now you have the chance to start working on those things for yourself. Is it possible for you to have a talk to your brother about how you feel? and if not what makes it hard for you?

Hi @hunginc, Part of it was me realizing I had to work hard for my career, and that I genuinely enjoyed the units and the course I was taking. Another big part was surrounding myself with really academic individuals, and adopting their habits, and asking them to keep me accountable. What about you @hunginc ? what was your highlight?

Hi @Lost_Space_Explorer5 ! I just browsed around on the games side of RO and I found your post. This is such a cool idea and really nice you took the time to make one for ReachOut. I remember doing these as a kid growing up and trying to be the fastest out of all my mates. Always a good time. Keep up the good work

Hi @Agenderandproudofit ! I totally agree with you. This year has been so different, and I am really proud of the ReachOut community for how supportive we have all been, and how much everyone has accomplished. I hope to see everyone, and more in the upcoming year and for our community to keep growing. One of my highlights for the year has got to be my grades. I know it sounds boring, but being academic and studious has been an uphill battle for me, and as someone who struggled a lot from procrastinating and being content with passing and getting "meh" grades during highschool - Achieving 80s-90s on my final grades across my units at Uni has been so uplifting and amazing.

@hunginc I think that's a pretty admirable mindset to have. Work hard for yourself and for your own improvement consistently should be the primary motivator when doing things like that. Keep it up! For me, I need to keep a good diet consistently as I'm trying to gain weight and muscle, but eating isn't the most fun for me and it can get a lot sometimes as someone who struggled to gain weight. It's also hard since I need to exercise, but don't want to lose more weight that way, so I'm trying to figure out a good balance.

@Mars_Elliot ! Congratulations on your achievement. I could never imagine myself doing that during Highschool so big props to you. I'm sure you worked really hard and you deserve it! Continue on working hard towards your academics, and best of luck moving forward to the next years of your study. @Kaylee-RO ! I don't even know how someone can get a Job at RO, but that sounds like an awesome opportunity with lots of connections and experience. Congratulations on being a big part of this community. @hunginc WOW. That is actually really good. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that faster than the average speed for most people? Either way good job on staying active, It been something that I want to get consistent at and seeing people like you meet their goals boosts my motivation. @November13 Cleaning your room has got to be one of the best experiences after all the hard work. Congratulations on that achievement, now you can relax in your room and feel safe and comfortable. As for me, I am currently on a break. I have been really busy juggling my work, a new internship, and helping out with an upcoming wedding, and trying to remain social and active with sports as well. My small but awesome achievement I guess is how productive I've been this past break, as I'm usually someone more relaxed and gets distracted with holiday mode for too long.

Hi @Jardin I wanted to check in with how you were doing, and hopefully, you've found some of the other replies helpful to some degree. I just want to give some extra support and let you know that firstly, there is nothing wrong with wanting to read and enjoying time by yourself. Some people get drained and tired when they socialize and are out with other people, and they feel more comfortable being alone. That is totally normal and okay. As long as you make sure you get out of the house for some air and sunlight, and that you don't shut yourself off from people, I don't think it's unhealthy to spend time alone and just get lost in reading. Also congratulations on your job. I know it's something that is currently giving you a lot of stress, but it's still an accomplishment. I'm not sure what exactly you may be going through, but I feel like it may help to learn to accept the situations you are in and start seeing them as commitments that can build into your future, rather than things that trap you and overwhelm you. Do you have any strategies currently in place that help you compose yourself when you are struggling and feeling trapped and out of control? Hope you are well friend.

Hi @Tiny_leaf That sucks to hear that you haven't been having the best of time on top of the incident and trying to recover. I hope you are doing better since then, I just wanted to check in to see how you were? Are you safe at home, and do you have a comfortable space there where you don't feel as much stress? (e.g. going to your room when overwhelmed) Keep being strong and getting through this friend

Hi @Tiny_leaf ! YAY! What an awesome name for a dog, poor Leo didn't get any pats from the paramedics but I'm sure he's the greatest boi ever. Glad to know you guys are okay. Hi @boombamshazam I just firstly want to say that I am so proud of you for already facing so many of your fears and improving yourself so much. It takes a lot of effort, a lot of heart, and a lot of time to do what you have done. With how you may be feeling recently It could just be one of those "ruts" we fall into as people. Bad days, bad weeks, etc. May I ask if you're at school or if you are on break right now? It can affect our motivation being at home too often and not seeing our friends and being out of the routine of going outside and having things to do. Hope you start to feel better friend
