What are you looking forward to this year (big or small)? - I am looking forward to university starting again and hopefully being on campus! What's something new you want to try this year? Hey @number20 I really hear you on this and can see the frustration the lack of sleep is having on you. As you know, sleep is super important and essential to the functioning of everyday life so i would recommend giving these articles a read through and see if they are of any help! I see that you have contacted professionals and first of all, well done with that! But i'm sorry to hear that the prescriptions haven't been working for you. Another thing you could consider is to see if you could find a doctor that specialises in sleep or even doctors who prefer to use more natural remedies to fix your sleep. When i find that i'm struggling to sleep, it is because something else is going on in my life. Sometimes there is family or friend issues, my anxiety is high, exams are coming up, etc... Have you thought about if there is any external things that are going on that may be causing this?

Hey @Blurryphaced For me, I see 'who I am' as an ever-changing thing that will squish and mold and bubble and change all throughout my life. Who you are, is whoever you want to be, and who you decide your identity to be. Sometimes who you are now, is not you forever, and that is the great thing about life; the ability to grow and change. I'm sorry to hear about the constant anxious feelings/thoughts Do you know if there are particular times or situations that trigger these moments or make them worse? Sometimes people don't need to fully understand what we are going through for them to be able to listen - My bestest friend rarely understands the things i talk to him about but he is always there to listen and help in whatever way he can. Even though you feel that your friends don't understand, are you still able to open up and be able to talk to them?

Can we control our feelings of happiness? Can we make other people happy? Are there times when we ever want to make ourselves or others unhappy? I feel like we do have control over our happiness in the sense we can allow things into our life that let us feel happy. YES!! You can make other people feel happy, you can do everything possible to make them feel happy BUT you cannot force that emotion on them. Sometimes it is best to let them feel that emotion! It is GOOD and NORMAL to feel upset, or angry or to feel grief! You are not of any less value to feel those emotions!! I feel that wanting to feel unhappy is normal! Sometimes, happiness can be overwhelming for me personally and that i need a good feeling of 'sadness' to help remind me of all the good times! But i never want to ever to make someone else feel unhappy

How important is happiness to you? Have your views about happiness changed throughout your life? How do these attitudes affect your daily life? Happiness is super important to me! I feel that happiness is a treasure and something that should be continuously spread. As i grew older, i appreciated the value of happiness and how emotions can affect other people's moods! This affects my daily life as i try to remind myself to be happy, but allow myself to feel the other emotions that are normal to feel!

Hey @Clementine75 I understand where you are coming from, and it must be really hard to try and express your feelings with this. It seems like it is difficult for you to not feel anxious with questions, and feel more pressure based on your age. You are young, but that doesn't mean your decisions are less valuable because of the time you take. Have you thought about making lists of things you think may be asked of you? Practicing responses may be helping in reducing anxiety around questions.

Negative: I felt really stressed about doing trimester 3 at uni since i did tri 1 and 2, and felt that i havent had a break so i dropped a unit. Positive: I can have a break and still do one unit, which helps me to do better next year

Hey there @Pasta I really feel you feeling like life was simple when we were younger - life gets challenging as we grow but I like to try and view it as an opportunity and a blessing that I am still alive. It sounds like you have been through a lot growing up from feeling lonely, dealing with death, and lots of other things. I'm glad you've come on here to talk about this and seek some advice/help. It is a really brave thing to do. With moving out, it must feel refreshing knowing you can get a start at a life you want to live. I hope you are safe and well planned with it all. It's a really hard feeling to shake.
