That’s really horrible @Nightruner23. I’m glad the card has now been cancelled at least. Have you contacted your bank to see if they can do anything? They probably won’t be able to, but they might be able to advise on other processes.

Neg: I’m feeling quite stressed about the next assessment due for uni, as it’s an online presentation. I know that presentations freak me out, and that in the past I’ve only just passed them, seemingly out of sympathy rather than actual achievement. Pos: I’ve passed every presentation I’ve done previously, so I must have met all the basic criteria. In addition, as this presentation is online, I don’t actually need to talk in front of people so hopefully that will make things easier. I know that I can do it. Neg: I’m finding it really hard to be open with my parents about my issues and sometimes it feels like the relationship with my parents is too far gone. Pos: I am lucky enough to have parents who care about me, and I do have a relationship with them and I am trying to let them in to my world, even though it’s very hard to do at times.

For yesterday: 1. Sleep in. 2. Not having to go to uni like I usually do on Wednesday. 3. Just having an overall relaxing day. 4. It made me happy knowing many shops were closed yesterday for ANZAC Day - very respectful. 5. Parents didn’t nag me too much. ;) For today: 1. Discovered that my recent battles with the whipper snipper were not my fault! (Apparently there’s a jam where the line is meant to come through) :O 2. Made enquiries about a local volunteering gig, so we’ll see how that goes. 3. Had two lovely cups of tea. 4. About to have dinner. :D

Hey @Bee, just wanted to echo the others’ words of support. I’ve been in a rather similar situation to you - I lost my job as a result of my previous workplace deciding to readvertise the job at very short notice; basically they just wanted to clean out the “old crowd” as there were LOTS of staff changes at the same time. I was really shattered at the time, but looking back, I did not need that negative energy around me at all. I’m much better where I am now and what I am doing is worthwhile. I know it’s probably hard to see right now, but you will pull out of this a much stronger person.

1. Went to the bank and got my accounts sorted out which I’ve been putting off for a long time. 2. Shared some chocolate with my parents. 3. Had a reasonable day today. 4. Got my new safety plan posted on RO. 5. Had a lovely cup of tea (just normal bushell’s tea) :)

Hey @Marcus29, I’m so sorry you have lost your job, particularly under these circumstances. I know a number of members will have been in a very similar position (myself included), so we know how much this really hurts. I also know how hard it is being back on the ‘hamster wheel’ of looking for another job as well. I assume that your psychologist and doctor know about this? I really like your statement “I only hope the world will accept” - very powerful. I believe that slowly the world is becoming more accepting of people with mental health issues, but unfortunately, there are still some people who find this difficult. Please know you’re not alone. I’m thinking of you during this difficult time - please let us know how you get on. I’ll just tag another couple of users who might be able to help. @Bee @LeoTheLion @Bree-RO @scared01
