1. The weather is beautiful and sunny today so I get to study outside. 2. I can hear my dog snoring a few metres away from me and she is beautiful. 3. I get to see some of my amazing friends this afternoon.

hey @anonymousgirl101! I completely understand how you are feeling, I was exactly the same way when I first moved from the country to the city. It can be a little bit scary at first and I definitely got a little homesick, but university gives you the chance to branch out and meet heaps of new amazing people. Don't be afraid to talk to people in your course, chances are they are just as nervous as you are!

@Icecream1 do you have a library near you? Reading can be an incredibly rewarding and affordable distraction which I'm sure @letitgo would happily be able to talk to you about. What don't you like about your current coach?

Hi @Aaron1232453, welcome to ReachOut! Just a heads up I've edited your post a little bit to better fit in with our community guidelines which are listed here https://forums.au.reachout.com/t5/Welcome-Announcements/MUST-READ-ReachOut-com-Guidelines/m-p/16#M2 As @scared01 and @Icecream1 said it may be beneficial to talk to the school counselor about what she is going through not just for her but for yourself, a situation like this can be an incredibly difficult thing to go through by yourself

@Icecream1 my main methods of distraction usually involves running, baking or reading. Reading is definitely one of the better methods because I get so concerned about the character's problems that I forget my own. Do you read much? Or are there any other sports you could do over the summer?

Hi @Icecream1, Welcome to ReachOut! I'm really sorry that he broke up with you without giving you any explanation. However, I can guarantee that you deserve better than to be with someone who would break up with you like that. It is really great to hear that you are moving forward and getting past this, seeing him again at school might be a little difficult at first but it definitely gets easier each day. What are you enjoying about your life at the moment?

hi @ad4m, for starters welcome to ReachOut. I'm sorry you feel this way and I'm so sorry that your previous partner broke your trust like that, I know how difficult it can be to regain trust in somebody after that. If you need to talk through this we are here for you :)

there are 7 years between my parents but they met when my mum was 23 so I don't think it has ever really been an issue

I personally haven't been in a relationship with a large age gap but I definitely think there are a lot of benefits especially when you take maturity and life experience into account like @T4ils said.

Hey @redhead this is a really cool idea!! ' 1. What's your favourite thread on the forums I think my favourite thread would have to be "three positives of today", I just love going through all the responses to see what great things people have going on in their lives. 2. What's one thing your grateful for today Today I'm grateful that it is mango season so I get to live off mangoes for the next month. 3. What's one thing you're really proud of Like @honky and @Esperanza67 said I'm so proud of everyone on ReachOut for sharing their life and issues, and it is just so incredible to see and be a part of a community with so many passionate and friendly people so dedicated to helping others. 4. Why did you become a mod I became a Mod because I wanted to become more involved and learn how to provide better support to this amazing community 5. Who your inspiration and role model I think my main inspiration and role model would be my mum, she's just such an incredible and strong person. I aspire to be more like her every day.
