Thank you for your suggestions @celestialdreamer @Janine-RO I didn't get around to doing exercise. I've felt a sort of tired fog cloud around me all day. I just ate dinner and I plan to have a shower soon. I'm going to bed by 10pm tonight and I'm hoping I'll sleep and recharge for possible work tomorrow. I have plans to see a friend too now that restrictions are easing so that's a plus.

I'm feeling really shit today. I went to bed early but couldn't sleep for 3 hours. So when I got called into work this morning finally I was too tired and didn't get ready in time so I had to cancel. I'm so disappointed in myself. If my sleeping pattern was good then this wouldn't have happened. And I just feel tired and awful. I don't want to nap because then I probably won't sleep tonight. @jamijam @Macaria @WheresMySquishy @November13 @Taylor-RO Thanks everyone. I've been able to fix my sleeping pattern a couple times a week. This is huge progress. I'm not going to bed as early as I would like to every day of the week but it's certainly improved so that's a plus. The job hunting isn't getting much better though to be honest. It's still making me feel really shit. I just wish all these restrictions would go away so that my current work employers can open back up and I can at least go back to my casual job. :( it's been 7 months now. :( Today I'm feeling quite anxious and stressed. I had a good sleep, early night and woken up at decent time which is great. Yet today I feel awful emotionally. I don't really know why. I'm not trying to look for a specific reason. But I feel sad.

@hunginc @sunnygirl606 @November13 @featuringme @Wolfie_ Thank you for your replies everyone. I am overwhelmed by your input and support. It means a lot and I really appreciate it. I'll try and touch on a few things you asked and mentioned. I haven't spoken to my gp or counselor in a while so I'm going to try and contact them this week and next week to let them know how I have been feeling. Other than that I have been speaking to a few friends and my boyfriend and his family about some of my struggles and they have given me some help and advice and support too which is good. I had a friend help me revamp my resume so I'm going to try and apply for jobs again this weekend. My friend gave me insight and perspective into her process for getting a full time job and that kind of helped me to see that I'm only just beginning my journey. There are heaps of opportunities still out there so I just got to keep trying. As for the whole daily routine thing and sleeping....that is something I am very much struggling with. I'll give myself some ideas of stuff to do during the day and then I usually don't end up doing them. Mostly I just feel tired and then end up sleeping a lot. I do like these ideas though. My motivation to stick to it is so bad though. Some of the things I'm interested in for my daily routine though would be: A walk. Ride exercise bike at home. Cook. Read. Video games. Umm sometimes drawing or colouring. Maybe cleaning. My main problem is being able to get myself up at a reasonable hour and then sleeping at a good time too. As you can see it is late right now. I'm tired but just can't seem to sleep. I will say that I feel disappointed in myself. :(

Hello. It's been a while since I've felt a sense of real failure and shame of myself. The feelings that I am not good enough have been really creeping up on me recently. I'm trying not to let it get to me but I honestly kind of just feel like crying. I don't feel like a strong, successful person. In truth, I feel like I can barely cope with being an adult. I don't know if it's just lockdown that's getting to me but everything feels like a struggle. I'm not getting to bed until really late and that causes me to sleep in until early afternoon. I'm also out of work due to lockdown. Have been since March . And recently I've applied for a few jobs and keep receiving rejection emails. I feel so helpless tbh. :(

@Taylor-RO yeah, I think I might need to contact my gp at some point. I haven't really tried that waking up strategy but I could give it a go. Unfortunately if I do get up early I end up napping partway through the day and that is simply becayse I get so tired that I can't do anything unless I nap. I actually get a headache unless I nap. It's wierd.

@xXLexi_Lou122Xx I have only played the Plants vs zombies garden warfare game once. I don't have it anymore though. Yeah, pokemon go is a great game to encourage exercise. I haven't been on the app in so long. I go through phases with that game. Digital art looks amazing! That is something I want to get into again soon.

Hey everyone - @xXLexi_Lou122Xx @missep @LCox1987 @Bubblycoco @Eagle I love this thread. I'm a huge video game fan and I play across all different platforms. Nintendo Switch, Pc, ps4 and xbox. Some of my favourite games recently have been: Splatoon 2 Minecraft Gwent Sims 4 Totally reliable delivery service Overcooked Slitherio Super Mario bros Mario Party Black ops III zombiez Plants vs Zombies Humans Fall Flat These are all I can think of right now but my favourites are definitely Splatoon and Minecraft!

Hey @N1ghtW1ng . I like your post. I feel like it really resonates with me because I've been finding it so hard to have motivation to do even the simplest of things lately. I am out of work and have been at home bored out of my mind most days, sleeping in until midday or longer and this has been going on since end of march. It isn't my fault that I have no job right now. I mean, before this covid situation I was working 3 casual jobs working 5 days a week most of the time. Financially I am okay because of Job Keeper but i feel so guilty with myself for spending most of my time sleeping or playing video games or generally just being in bed playing games on my phone. I find I get motivation to get up out of bed when i have somewhere I need to be or things that have to get done. Yet right now there is nothing. I can't even seem to get up to do things that I want to do. And I feel so guilty for being lazy and I feel like I should be being more proactive like preparing my resume to apply for FT or PT work or exercising more and cooking. I don't really know how to help you because I need help too. So I guess I just wanted to share my own experience and let you know that you're not alone with this motivation problem.

@Maddy-RO yeah, the stress of covid and being so out of routine has put me in a lot of anxiety due to uncertainty and not being able to have access to my usual outlets hasn't helped either. I miss sport and going to work and seeing friends and eating out at restaurants. And we don't know how long this will go on for. I felt like I was managing okay though but this random anxiety and sense that something is wrong really gets to me. I haven't been able to get to sleep until 2 nearly 3 am most nights amd I've been getting up and out of bed around midday most days. :/

Thanks @Janine-RO . I watched one of these youtube videos I really enjoy while exercising today. That gave me motivation which is great. Something else has been bothering me though. I keep getting bad anxiety feelings in my chest and I don't know why and it is unpleasant. It feels like something is wrong when there doesn't seem to be any known trigger. It's quite bad tonight. I was tired and went to bed early for a change and yet it has been nearly 2 hours and I still can't sleep. It's frustrating.

@Bre-RO I think the first one is getting up at a decent time cause at the moment I keep sleeping in super late and then not being tired at a reasonable bedtime. The second would be exercise of some sort. I've been couped up in my bedroom playing video games almost all day and everyday and haven't really gotten out of the house much at all. I want to make my body tired so that I can sleep better at night and not be filled with all this energy. And the other is to feel like I've been productive somehow. So whether that is cooking or cleaning or working on my resume. I say I want all these things yet somehow I am finding it incredibly hard to start off even do little things without feeling agitated. :( It feels hard and it's only making me more frustrated with myself.

Hello. For the past couple days I have been feeling depressed. Low motivation and anxious and tense for what feels like no reason. I think it is a PMS thing which is enhanced by my anxiety and depression. But it is really getting me down. I feel like I have had crazy moods and that I have been frustrating my bf. What's worse is I haven't felt like wanting to be intimate on a sexual level at all . So if he goes to touch me trying to be cute or initiate what he would consider 'pleasure' I just seem to want to retract and I just don't want to be sexual. :( I hate myself for it. I love him and want to be close to him and my damn moods and feelings ruin everything. There seems to be only a couple of days a month where I am actually turned on amd want to be intimate. What is wrong with me? :(

I have only seen pub g on online videos @indieinsanus . Never really played the battle royal type games. I enjoy watching youtubers though. I've been playing alot of minecraft, skyrim, the sims4 and gwent. A mix of games!

I'm not having a good day so far and I have slept in and haven't even gotten out of bed yet. I had shit sleep with bad dreams and I just feel down, emotionally and I don't know why. I feel sad and miserable. I feel like shit :( I wish I didn't feel this way :(

Hi @Jess1-RO . I'm just taking things day by day. Some are better than others. I have important financial things I need to sort out with possibily centrelink which is stressing me out. I just have to sit down at the computer and organise the paperwork.
I'm feeling a bit low right now. I haven't had the best of days today and I'm feeling pretty low. Hopefully this will improve.

I love your ideas and really appreciate everyone's support @WheresMySquishy @xXLexi_Lou122Xx @Ronan-RO . I'm actually proud to say that I spent some time making a daily schedule and I spent about 30 minutes working on my resume which really helped. I will try to be kind to myself.
As you can tell from the time of this post that I am still having trouble sleeping. I know this is cause my pattern is out of wack and that's okay.

Thank you @xXLexi_Lou122Xx . I don't know about what will motivate me to get up earlier. I normally get up when I need to be somewhere so it's hard because I don't need to be anywhere right now. I do like your suggestion on art though. I did some drawing the other day so maybe I will give that another try.

Hi everyone. There is so much going on in the world right now and it is really taking its toll. I've lost all my employment :( so I have been out of work for a week and a half now. I've submitted an intent to claim to centrelink so now I'm just waiting to hear back.
But because of self isolation and the new restrictions I've found that I have nearly no motivation to get up and do anything. I have been in bed sleeping right up until midday or longer and going to bed close to 3am. And when I am up I'm either eating or playing video games to pass the time. I tried looking for jobs but my anxiety is really effecting me on being able to complete my resume. I don't even know what jobs I could apply for.
I've also been having bad dreams again and just overall feeling like shit :( I don't know what to do.

Hi @dragon3 . I suppose for me I see the "balance of my life" as a representation of me being able to function. If I am out of balance then it may mean that my regular routines are out of wack such as my sleeping and eating habits, going to school or work and not attending my commitments. These things affect my emotional wellbeing as well such as my optimism and positivity, my self critical thoughts and being able to deal with mistakes, failure or things in my life going wrong. A good healthy balance to me is being able to have and deal with experiences and emotions, whatever they may be and still be able to go about my every day life in a happy and productive way. Being able to set goals and stay motivated are clear indicators for me that I am having a healthy life balance. I hope this helps.

Just make a thread and take a picture of the problem or something or tell me the unit you are doing and i could possibly help. I was okay at math in the lower years of high school.
