@kalipsokiki Body image is such a heavy topic in today's society especially in females. Stigma around this issue sucks as well. . You have to feel comfortable in your own body, to be happy within yourself. Just wondering how you are going with this and if you have figured out a useful strategies for yourself?

@Karinaskii i can understand a little on how you are feeling i am also doing a double degree at uni and have not taken a break at all. Between jobs and uni and prac a literally feel so drained in myself, it got to the point I wasn't sleeping and i could see myself ending up in a bad place. So I decided at first that once a day i would stop what i was doing and go for a walk in a new environment get out of the house for 30mins, I than gradually built up to having one day off a week where its "my day" and I will literally not do anything but watch netflix and just chill. I have started to feel so much better. We need to take care of ourselves before anything else because if were not functioning great than how we mean to do well at uni or at work!!! you need to "Treat yourself"

I really love the ending part of this poem " Take the pain in and crush it between hard won teeth, pull it into yourself because it can’t hurt you if you own it." Such strong words

@missep What is your thesis about? I always find with the intro that when writing it think about a random picking it up and reading it not having a clue about anything or knowing nothing about the subject. How would you give them the best idea and information about the topic? For the discussion: i always put in things like - limitations of research - questions for further direction - A summary of the key findings - How these relate to your aims - Confirmation of your aims - Comparison with theory/previous research - Explanation of unexpected results - Significance - Limitations/future directions. I Hope this helps a little

@mspaceK you could surprise yourself, maybe you won't have a breakdown while your away. A change of air and lifestyle might make it less likely to have one. I think it is an amazing opportunity to work overseas, you will learn many life lessons and also have an amazing time and make a heap of new friends. Its a good challenge and positive one, what job are you applying for?

@j95 I get it, it is really hard to try and make people understand what you are going through especially when others can't physically see what is wrong. I know personally I get frustrated and just wished people knew what was wrong with me and that I didn't have to explain it to them. When i feel like this I try to do some mindfulness techniques like deep breathing, writing down my emotions or negative things in my life than when i'm done scrunch the paper up or make it into a plane and through it. For me it symbolises letting go and throwing away my problems and frustrations. You should give it a try :)

Hi @MarianGC, you cant blame yourself for this. If you checked and saw that it was clear than you are not at fault. The other person could of simply been speeding or not realise you were there. As long as your safe that is the most important thing :) Are you more worried about what your parents are going to say about the car? or about having the crash?

Hey thanks for waiting, I have been thinking of ideas that could be of use to you in this situation. I myself was in this exact some situation not that long ago, so I completely understand how you feel and how scary it can all be. Having to decide what you want to do as a career at such a young age. I thought of some ideas that may be of use to you and hopefully can ease your mind a little. If you are struggling with English it could be ideal to go and seek help from a tutor or simply going and asking your English teacher if they have any recommendations they can suggest maybe telling you exactly where you are going wrong in English. I can sense that you are also frustrated about not being able to manage your time outside of school, what really helped me was making a study/ assignment plan, this really helped me manage my time and I still use it now. I marked out when things were due and when exams were and could visually see when things were due and how long I had to do them. It is also really important to remember that VCE is not the end of the world, there is life outside of school, school is only a part of your journey not all of it. As for your frustration about not knowing what you want to do in the future, I think it would be really helpfully if you went to Uni open days and Tafe open days. They will be able to show you around the campus and show you all the courses they have to offer. Most University and Tafe's also offer early entrance or scholarships it would be really worthwhile checking those out, help you ease your mind about getting accepted. How do these ideas sound to you? .
