Bible Studies
Hi. I know many people are here to get AWAY from family or religious pressure & expectations.
However, I have a huge interest in Christianity and I am very fond of making friends of all Religions. (I'm creating another board on that hehe 🙂 )
If there are any questions, Biblical discussions or just to talk about God, Church or even life in general, I am here for you.
If you are new or interested in learning more about Christianity, here is the right place for you. Thank you for coming.
We don't judge here, we are accepting, regardless of which denomination or religion you are.
I am super excited about making friends who share the same interest as me.

Here's a little bit about me:
I am a Christian. I was raised & baptised as a Catholic.
Once I started to properly read my Bible and spent time with God,
I developed an interest in theology.
I decided that i want to learn about all denominations and the difference between Churches.
I joined an Orthodox Church, Catholic Church and their youth groups.
Once quarantine is over I can't wait to join a non-denominational church!
I've been keeping up with their services online ever since quarentine 😄
I concider myself to be Ecumenical- meaning I accept and follow ALL denominations.
I love learning about Christ and I am super excited to meet fellow people who share the same interests as me! I am looking forward to meeting people from all different types of groups and hearing your stories ❤️
Hey @jasmine12345678
I think that its a good idea to break down religious barriers as so often in my life I've seen people judged for only their religious identity and nothing else when that is only a part of who a person is. It's cool to make friends from all kinds of cultural and religious backgrounds, they can enlighten your life in new and enriching ways.
It's also great of you to help educate anyone with questions in a non judgemental and friendly space. Again, I've known people who are curious about their own beliefs or even wanting to explore different religious beliefs but have been too nervous to ask.
Theology is pretty cool. Lots of big brain concepts that can be tricky to wrap my head around haha.
You mentioned you consider yourself as Ecumenical.. that's cool. I don't know much about it. I do have one question about it though which I hope isn't too intrusive. You can just answer generally rather than personal if you prefer. How would a ecumenical go about participating in sacraments as I know that not all christian denominations believe in the same sacraments and for the ones that do, the rules surrounding them and even the ceremonies themselves are often different between each church?
Thanks!
Hi, @Ladybug Thanks for joining the conversation!
It's pretty awesome that we can find a safe place to discuss religion, I hope we can all do so without feeling judged or uncomfortable.
May I ask, which religion do you follow? I would like to hear about that and your beliefs 🙂
As for your question, I can't speak on behalf of every ecumenical Christian. Ecumenism is not a denomination in itself- It's rather more so of a movement towards a worldwide Christian unity. It's choosing to love and accept all Churches and not stick to one specific Church teachings, but all. Even though the New Testament mentions a series of kind acts, not all churches consider them as 'sacraments'. The Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Church have recognised their sacraments as the following:
- Baptism.
- Eucharist.
- Confirmation.
- Reconciliation.
- Anointing of the sick.
- Marriage.
- Holy orders.
The Protestants Churches have accepted only Baptism and the Eucharist as their Sacraments.
I choose to partake in all sacraments, well not all of them yet, but hopefully in the future. I hope that answered your question Ahah. Sorry if it didn't I can go into more depth if you'd like.
I'm excited to hear about your experiences with different denominations and churches. I think it's great that you're open-minded and accepting of all different types of groups, and I think that's a really important attitude to have when exploring different aspects of Christianity.
