MY PLP ISN'T JUST FOR FUN YOU KNOW
My food tech teacher just changed the entire recipe and then refused to write it down. I don't know for sure because for some reason I can't access it but I'm pretty sure, as in 99% sure, that 'Written instructions needed' is written AND HIGHLIGHTED on my PLP.
And then she had the audacity to get mad at me for having a meltdown when I am the person suffering from her breaking the actual fucking law.
I need to email her to politely but firmly remind her of this but I'm not in the right headspace to do that. If anyone else feels up to writing me a rough draft for it that would be super helpful.

Hey @The-ADJ-System,
I can totally understand why you'd be feeling upset about this. It sounds like a really frustrating situation, especially when your needs are being overlooked and you’re left in a difficult spot. It’s tough when something that’s supposed to support you isn’t being followed, and on top of that, being made to feel bad for having a natural reaction.
As for the email, I think it would be helpful to include some of the following points: your PLP specifies the need for written instructions to support your learning, you weren't able to access the updated recipe when it was verbally changed, and if you could please have this recipe (as well as any future ones) in writing as it would help you feel more confident in completing the task. If it's challenging putting the email together, do you think there's anyone you'd be able to reach out, such as a family member or friend, that can help you navigate this situation?
As I can sense this situation is having a toll on you in the moment, I'm also wondering if there's anything you can do to calm or distract yourself? I find that small acts of self-care help to ground me when I'm feeling overwhelmed. The things I do range from going on a short walk outside to doing a bit of arts and crafts at home.
Sending you hugs! You got this. 💛
Hey @The-ADJ-System ,
That sounds frustrating when you have a clear learning plan that’s supposed to help you but a teacher is disrespecting and ignoring it instead. It’s understandable that you might be feeling upset and dismissed that your teacher hasn’t acknowledged the PLP or your needs to have instructions written down. You’re doing the right thing for wanting to address this with her in a polite and firm way. Advocating for yourself is so important but can be such a hard thing to do. It’s okay to need some time for yourself before you take on this task. I hope you can be proud of yourself for wanting to take these steps.
