Reccomendations

Hello! I have some game recommendations,  if I can't post something like this please let me know! When I was figuring out If I liked girls and exploring sexuality these where some games I found on steam/Itch.io that where some of the first media I saw that had lesbian/queer characters. These games also surround mental health in different ways. If you like playing games then here's some recommendations!

(all of these are multi ending visuals novels and medium to short length)

Missed messages by Angela Hee available on Steam and itch.io (I think)

The protagonist is a queer character and if you choose the right endings you can save your roommate and delve into a romance together. It's a short game with a lesbian couple, and revolves around mental health in some aspects.

Trigger warnings: Heavily on SH and suicidal thoughts/act, small warning on parental issues and bad thoughts about self.

A new life. also by Angela Hee available on steam and itch.io (I think)

A short game where we play as a lesbian who make friends with this girl named May. That friendship can blossom into a loving and amazing relationship based off of which options you pick. In the end its up to the decisions you make to prevent her dying or to move on and find peace.

Trigger warnings: Heavily on passing of a loved one, grief, virus outbreak, hospitals, mention of cancer.

Spare parts by Sophie roseavailable on steam

A multi part visual novel not solely about LGBTQ but does have mentions of it and queer characters. In this game your a teenager desperate for a job and when you finally start working at a spare parts store your boss seems.. off? that's when you uncover secrets and what's beneath the store.

Trigger warnings: Curse words, bold lights, shaking screens, dismemberment of robots, potential upsetting scenes, mentions of bad parenting.

Lost connections by Amber pearl and Nofar Evyoni available on steam

A short game about a nonbinary protagonist going to a community center to seek self improvement and to grown there connections and courage! Through these weekly meet ups they grow as a person and eventually experience there last meet up. While sitting down on a bench they notice a girl that had been in the group and that's when you make the decision do you say hello? or keep quiet?

Trigger warnings: Group/community center, talk about bad mental health, bad thoughts about self.
