Need someone to talk to? eFriend
Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing really well in this interesting time. I just wanted to draw your attention to a service that has just started nationally. It's called eFriend, and its a virtual peer support service for 18+ where you can have online calls with a trained peer worker with lived experience of a mental health condition or suicidality. They are so incredibly friendly, and they basically just listen in the way that a friend would. Rather than being a hotline service, you book 3-6 sessions with the same eFriend peer and you get to talk to them across the space of a few weeks so that they can help you navigate whatever it is that you're working through. It's completely non-clinical, which is incredibly refreshing. It is definitely designed to be used in conjunction with clinical services if you're experiencing high levels of distress, but its definitely worth trying if you're looking for some extra support! Check it out here - https://efriend.org.au/
