Hmm... psychiatrists can be tricky. They can be expensive, and their job does more revolve around medication so they don't always make the time to have lengthy chats during an appt. Though it seems medication is what you need reviewed, so it's a bit odd that he wants you to wait. Maybe let your GP know and see if they can refer you to someone else?

And yeah, ED could potentially be an option. You could also give your local CATT a call and chat to them about whether you can go into the hospital to get your meds sorted. You can find a list of local CATT numbers here (scroll down a lil to see the list for each state). Definitely worth exploring your options all round - if a particular treatment, clinic, or MH professional isn't working for you, you can always find someone who helps you in the way you need.
