I am getting bullied at school 😞
Comments
Hey @Panda-Lover2020 . It is so brave of you to reach out and I want to welcome you to the forums. 😃
Gosh - being bullied at school is really awful! Would you like to tell us more about this? I am wondering if you have been able to have courage to reach out to a school teacher or family member? Is anyone supporting you through this tough time?
We are here for you!

Hi @Panda-Lover2020 ,
We are really sorry to hear that 's happening to you, you're doing the right thing reaching out here. I'm wondering if you would feel comfortable telling us more about what the bullying behaviour looks like - is it physical, or verbal abuse/teasing, or other forms of bullying?
Do you have an older friend or a parent who you'd feel comfortable telling about the behaviour? If you feel like you need to talk to somebody about this, Kids Helpline is also available 24/7 on 1800 55 1800.
Well done for opening up here, it shows a lot of courage.
Hi @Panda-Lover2020 , we are all real people here 🙂
If you'd like to know more about our forums and how they work, please check out our community guidelines here. This is a peer support forum for young Australians, ReachOut do moderate this space between 9am-11pm but we aren't a crisis support service, and can't offer 1:1 counselling. It is a great space to seek advice and support from other people who've experienced similar challenges, and we can also direct you to other services if you feel you need some professional 1:1 support.

Hi @Panda-Lover2020.
They're all real people. We do have one bot, called Sidekick Bot, but they don't actually respond to any posts.
The RO at the end of @Janine-RO's name stands for Reach Out, it just means that she's a staff member who make sure the forums are safe and look after the people on it. She's also really nice.
I'm sorry that no one irl is listening to or helping you
I've been in that situation before and it's so difficult...

Hi @Panda-Lover2020 ,
As per our community guidelines (the ones I linked to above), users can't give out any personal information including personal email or messenger details. We are an anonymous service, and these guidelines help to keep our users safe 🙂
Hey @Panda-Lover2020 ! I can confirm that we are real people! I am a young adult and I have been using the forums for years. It is great to be able to chat and hear about peoples experiences and offer support as needed. It is normal to feel a bit hesitant of trust to people online and I think it is a healthy thing in regards to cyber safety, hence all personal details are kept private.
I am sorry you must feel isolated with no one to talk to about being bullied. I agree with other users who have posted about the helplines and informatiom you can gather from this site.
We can also ne here just to chat things through if you need 🙂
Hi @Panda-Lover2020 , welcome to the ReachOut community forums. We hope you find this a helpful and safe space, there's a lot of other community members who have experienced tough times at school who I'm sure will be able to give you some advice and support. Just to let you know, I've moved your post to its own thread , so that our community members will be able to find it and give you support 🙂
We're so sorry to hear that you're being bullied at school at the moment - it's a pretty common issue, unfortunately, and you are not alone.
ReachOut have a lot of great resources on bullying here that I thought might be useful for you to check out - with stories of people who've been through it, what helped them, and where you can go for help.
Do you think talking to your school counsellor could be helpful for you? They can often help a lot, both with giving you tools to combat what's happening to you, and also with working with your school to make sure the people who are doing the bullying know that their behaviour is not OK. We are all here to support you too.
