I'm Stuck at the moment

Hey RO people

I am stuck at the moment because i hate this time of year. Summer is only 2 months away in AU and i feel that my summer will be boring like every other summer. Another factor of this summer is going to be bad is that i am 21 years old and i aren't going to get invite to anything. Plus i really really want to go away with a few mates, but here the problem i don't have any mates. Will my young adult not have any funny?

I have been saving and saving and haven't spent anything on me lately. this is really putting me down. 😞

Hi @Marcus29

I'm sorry to hear that you've been feeling this way Smiley Sad

Have you thought about the possibility of a volunteering holiday? It provides the opportunity to bring like-minded individuals together and helps to develop a sense of community and bonding.

@Marcus29 ah that sucks I'm sorry to hear that 😞 I can relate - I'm feeling similarly about summer because I really want to do things too but can't find a job and hence have no money to do anything. Are there any people at your work that you are friendly with?

I think @BluezCluez is onto something there though because I know a lot of people who have gone travelling by themselves to Europe or Southeast Asia and stayed in hostels and met lots of people! Would that be something that you would consider doing?

Hey @May_

It sucks you don't have any money to have a fun summer. My summer will be sitting at home and watching the sport on tv, while the rest of AU enjoys the nice weather. I don't have any friends at my current workplace, plus i am also looking for a new job as my current job isn't rewerding.

With @BluezCluez idea, it would be a good idea, but i suffer from mild autsim and my parents wouldn't want me to go overseas by myself. plus i will be really scared leaving Au.

@Marcus29 what kind of work are you looking to get into?

You could also try volunteering somewhere if that's something you would be interested in because it could be an opportunity to meet some new people and will be a rewarding way to spend some time over summer 🙂

Also this might sound kinda lame but could you go on a holiday with your parents somewhere in Aus? (parent holidays are totes fun as an adult in my experience haha!)

Then go on a surprise trip, do something spontaeous.
Don't wait for other people to invite you, take the money you saved up and heck go to France, Italy anywhere you want. Go do something for yourself and enjoy every moment of it. I hear you make friends doing what you love, so enjoy being by yourself for the time being and treat yourself as your own best friend. You deserve it.

Welcome back!
