I need some tips on recovery TW: ED (binge eating)

So I've struggled with binge eating for maybe half a year, but it's gotten really bad recently, and I'm not entirely sure why. I know from speaking to my psychologist about it, it's because I need the slightest burst of serotonin food brings me, and then I cling onto the feeling. Since being told this, it makes a lot more sense, but it made me realised that I need help for mental and physical health purposes.

So basically, I'm asking for any tips that may help me in my recovery.

Thanks 🙂

Hi @GeorgieGirl, firstly, I am sorry to hear that you are going through this and that it has gotten really bad recently. It must be so difficult on you and I can only imagine how distressed you have been feeling. We have a whole lot of articles here on eating disorders which also includes Garra's personal experience, which you might find helpful to read. The Butterfly Foundation also has a lot of resources and can be a good place to start if you're not sure what to do next. You mentioned that you have been talking to your psychologist about this. Have you talked to them about tips and strategies to use? We are here to listen Heart
