TW: Support for Red_Flamingo

Hi,

Sorry, I've been away for a few days.

I've officially finished uni for the semester, so that's exciting.

Tomorrow, I'm going out for breakfast with a group of friends, so that will be nice. Then, we are going to a market.

I don't have many other things planned until my parents come over on Thursday. They will stay until Sunday and then fly back home.

My depression hasn't been the best this week, but I'm trying to manage the best I can.

I'm safe and will call KHL if I need to. I'm currently watching some TV and will have dinner soon, so I hope that keeps me busy for a bit.

Breakfast was really yummy, and I had a good time at the market.

I want to make bolognese, but this new med is making me so tired, and my mum doesn't understand. She said just get up and make it. I was exhausted at 11 am this morning, and it's just getting worse. I am normally full of energy to an extent. I see my psych on Wednesday, so he might know why I'm so tired. If not, I'll have to go see my GP.

I wish I wasn't feeling so sad and lacklustre, but oh well.

I'm safe and will call KHL if I need to. I'm currently watching some TV and hope that keeps me busy for a bit. I do speak to my regular at KHL tomorrow night.

Hello @Red_Flamingo

Congratulations on finishing the uni semester!! 👏 I can imagine the last few weeks with exams has been stressful. Do you have any plans for the semester break? It's a good time to de-stress and enjoy some self-care 🌹

It's great you went out for breakfast with your friends. I went for breakfast this morning as well! What did you have? 🍳🥞

I definitely recommend speaking with your GP about the fatigue you are experincing with the new medication. They can provide plenty of information on whether this is a normal occurance or if you need some extra tests. It can be really hard when you are experiencing both fatigue and depression at the same time as you can feel really unmotivated. I found that just setting my sights on one task, completing that, and then aiming for the next one was the most helpful thing for me. Baby steps! 😊 It's also best to be kind to yourself, sometimes getting out of bed and having a shower is all you can manage for the day, and that is okay!

Hi,

Yeah, it's been busy. My parents are flying over on Thursday until Sunday and then I go home on the 1st of July until the 11th.

I had fritters. They were delicious. What about you?

Yeah, I'll see how this week goes, and if I'm still feeling really tired, I'll go next week.

It's hard because it's really physical fatigue that I'm not used to.

How are you?

That sounds like you have some nice things planned with your parents. I find it good to keep myself busy throughout semester break, as sometimes going from a busy schedule to nothing can trigger depressive symptoms.

Oooh, fritters sounds yum! I had a bacon eggs benedict, my favourite breakfast 😍

Physical fatigue can be as exhausting. I have been struggling with physical fatigue lately as well, due to iron deficiency. I just had an infusion on Friday, so hopefully that will help within the next week or two 🤞 I find physical fatigue can also affect my mental fatigue, as often I have very little energy to do anything.

Yeah it will be good. Yes my psych was worried how I would be over the next six weeks.

Yum I love a good benedict as well.

Ah that would be hard. I hope the infusion helped.

Do you have any psych appointments planned throughout the break? I always try to plan a couple things to do each week to keep myself occupied, even if it's small tasks like cooking a new meal, cleaning out my wardrobe, or just watching a TV show I have been wanting to watch. It keeps me on track and gives me things to look forward to.

Yes, it has certainly been difficult, especially with end of semester assignments and exams 😞 I am hoping the infusion helps as well! I will give it a couple of weeks to see.

Yeah, I see him weekly, and there will be two weeks when I don't see him when I go home. It will be interesting to see how I'll manage with that as it will be three weeks.

I hope it will help for you too.

I am glad to hear you see him frequently! It's good to be consistent. Definitely, if you need anything over those three weeks, please feel free to reach out 😊

I am off to make some dinner and wash my hair! Have a good evening and take care 🌻

Yeah, I don't think I can see him any less at this stage because so many things keep happening.

All good enjoy your dinner.

Hi,

I'm so sorry I didn't reply yesterday,

Yum, I still have leftovers for tonight.

I'm up and down right now.

I see my psych today, so that will be good.

What are you doing today? I've cleaned my room, made some muffins, and had breakfast so far. Once the last batch of muffins is cooked, I'm going for a walk.

Welcome back!
