hello

Hey Everyone,

Sorry, I haven't checked in as usual but I have been doing things to help myself to make it easier for me to help my panic attacks.

Unfortunately, I have had some not very nice panic attacks they are panic attacks that I feel like I am going to pass out but I am actually not going to but it feels like that. I have told 2 of my other friends so they are aware of what to do so they can help me because they have told me that they want to help which is good..

I  just wanted to come on here because I feel like this is just going downhill and it is annoying but i would like advice on something can any of you please tell me or help me with what I can do about feeling like this is totally normal i don't think it is un normal i just need some closure on this.

Thank you so much

Hi, @Betty123

I'm really sorry to hear that things are not going too well for you in terms of your panic attacks but I am extremely glad that you've returned to the forums for some support and advice. I can definitely relate to this as I have had my fair share of scary panic attacks over the past couple of years so I know how worrying they can be. I agree with the other members in saying that it was a great decision to inform your friends of this so that they are aware and know how to help you when you are struggling. In saying this, I'm wondering if there are perhaps some situations or physical sensations that you or those you surround yourself with have noticed that trigger these attacks? Identifying these triggers can perhaps make it easier for you to confront them and get the support you need before the attacks get unmanageable.

Another thing I'd like to explore is whether or not you're seeking professional support for these attacks as I feel like you would be able to really focus on getting some strategies and coping mechanisms through this support.

I hope things get better for you in time💗

Best wishes,

niawithluv x

Hi @Betty123❤️

It's so good to see you reaching out for support around this, I imagine it must be really worrying and scary to be experiencing those kind of panic attacks. Well done for chatting to your friends about it already, it's really great that they are aware and know how to keep you safe.

I know you've mentioned in the past that you've had appointments with your therapist - have they been able to help you come up with any strategies around your panic attacks? Do you know what tends to set them off or is it just random?

You've mentioned you want some closure on this, what would that look like for you?

Welcome back!
