Worried about some stuff~
Hi~
You can call me Kitsune, recently I have been slightly worried about some of my health...mentally and physically.
First of all I am already diagnosed with ADHD, bipolar and depression, I take medication for ADHD and depression, and the ADHD medication is sort of(?) helping with my concentration and worsening my physical health. Because I feel cold from the core and my fingers shake (partially because of an essay and multiple dislocations) also I am getting abnormal heart rates. This medication also seems to make people feel anxious about not doing stuff (really must say even if I feel anxious I can still manage to procrastinate).
AND, I just did some research and this medication has a possibility of increasing chances of heart disease.....
I don't really mind stuff like heart disease (I have quite a few problems already eg. chronic gastritis T~T) but it just worries me more or less about my mother. I have avoided going to the GP for about 8 months (she forgets), and she probably doesn't know about these, er, problems.
Sure right now I'm vibing pretty nicely, but recently I've gotten 3 messages in the last month from my health app about me resting for 10 minutes and having over 120 bpm heart rate....also suffering from chest discomfort....
Yeah I probably should go to the GP, but I really can't be bothered, and what should I tell my mother? "Hey お母ちゃん, I need to go to the GP because I probably have heart problems."
I guess my attitude is not exactly very worrying, kind of joking in an aspect. However I would appreciate some informal, calm, chill advice. I have been in cold state recently, and I guess I just want some calm advice. I am logically considering all of my options, so probably don't want people to say stuff about my health, and how I haven't told my mother, and how this is being totally irresponsible of myself. Just want logical advice, would be great if someone could analyse all of my options and give me the best one~
Thanks~

Hey @Kitsune thank you for reaching out and sharing with us today.
I'm sorry to hear that you've been worried about your health, that sounds really scary. Medications are really hard as they all have so many different effects and its difficult to know which ones are better suited to you without help from a health professional. In saying that, I think its so great to hear that you've been doing your own research.
You mentioned that you haven't spoken to your mum about these problems, would you feel comfortable sharing some of these worries with her at all? I wonder if maybe she could take you to see your GP, even just to ease some of these worries. I can only imagine how hard it has all been for you to manage so much on your own.
As this can be such a stressful time, I'm just wondering what other supports you have in place right now. Is there anyone else you might feel comfortable talking to about this? Maybe a close friend or trusted family member. If you would like to talk to someone, there are some great services out there that might be worth reaching out to like Kidshelpline or eHeadspace.
While there is so much going on, I just want to remind you that you're important too. What kind of things do you do to take care of yourself? We have a great article on self-care tips if you need some ideas.
Just remember that you're not alone and we're all here for you 💜
*Cold state is when I feel cold, and can't be bothered doing anything, just wanting to read and play tetrys. Kind of like an coming back of depression, but milder and just calm and empty. Like everyone is swimming and taking in the sunshine and I'm just sinking somewhere cold. It isn't as bad as it sounds though, sort of tranquil in its own way.
Hi @Kitsune
Hope you are well and getting by 💙
You mentioned feeling cold and being in that state. I want to just mention that life can sometimes be like the seasonal cycle in that we have periods of spring, summer, fall, and winter. Our life can take turns where we are in a state that's warmer and sometimes colder. But the important thing is that this state is temporary and the next season will come around and hopefully with a breath of fresh air.
Ahh, that does sound nice~
I hope so too, it has been a little cold for a long time now, but 'I live in hope'
I really admire your attitude and the perspective you're choosing to take on this 💙
To be fair it is also quiet literary cold nowadays haha
Yepp it is, here the grass has frost in it, quite beautiful. And it makes people feel nice, to look at beautiful things.
