Thanks @Masquerade_HS ❤️ I feel very lucky to have found some amazing friends that support and love me for being 100% me 😊 And I'm sure you will too! The LGBTQIA+ community in general is full of such welcoming people as well. Sometimes it can take some time to find your people (it did for me), but once you do, it's so worth it!
Totally get what your little brother is saying, it is really difficult to change the words you use when you've used them for so long! However, it is important that once you understand that those words are harmful that you do your best to stop using them. Everyone slips up now and then, but if he wants to be a good ally and supportive brother he needs to put in the work 😊
I think that's a brilliant way to approach the subject with your other brother. And maybe even remind him that we never know who might be LGBTQIA+, so it's a good thing to change for his own friends too! Is there anything you could do before/after speaking to him to make you feel a bit less nervous about it?
Oh never apologise for long messages, that's what we're here for 😊
