Thanks @Iona-RO 🙂 I've definitely been meaning to talk to somebody at work, but I thought it all might just be growing pains for me and for the student since it is the beginning of the school year, so I was holding out... but even if this is only temporary it's really hard to handle. The student doesn't listen to 'no means no' but they are high risk so I can't move away from them at all, so often I just have to stand there while they strike out at me over and over. I tried to be really strong but finally after my 6th day my capacity to cope has run out. I'll definitely speak to my supervisor at work in the morning, but I just... I really wanted to enjoy my job and not stress over it, I don't feel like facing a challenge of this calibre. I don't want to do any extra training and spend a lot of time researching and upskilling myself. one of my best friends works in programming and earns twice as much as me and works at home coding from his bed, he says it's so easy... it's not fair. I was told the student would be challenging but I didn't know it was going to be stressful and exhausting to this extent... but I'll let you all know how things go.
