Hi @Anonymous Firstly, I want to say well done on graduating from your course and finding work as a disability support worker! While it may not feel like it, that is such a big achievement, especially with all the changes covid has brought. How are you finding your current role?
Mental health is a very rewarding industry so I can see why you might be passionate about it. A Mental health support worker involves a number of tasks, but these tasks will differ between companies. I was once in a similar situation, where i wasnt able to get my licence but a lot of the jobs I wanted to work with were either based a fair distance from me, or required some sort of driving. I found it helpful to reach out to a number of companies to see whether they would consider altering the role slightly, as I felt I was fully capable of completing a number of other tasks. I am wondering if you think this could be an option for you at all?
I also just want to say that you have already done such a good job in working towards your dream job, you should be so proud of yourself 💜
