Just wanted to let you know that I know exactly how that feels! My parents are pretty traditional too and often get upset when I get new piercings or wear things they don't want me too. I just wanted to let you know that doing things that make you happy (ie getting tattoos) is a good thing- although sometimes it can be hard to feel that way when you feel that you have to hide it from people you love.

I hope that at some point you'll feel okay telling them. In the meantime, do you think you could share this special news with a friend or another loved one? It might feel good to have someone be just as excited about your tattoo as you are.
