Hey @Blueberries

Thanks for sharing this with us! I’m sorry to hear that you’re feeling scared and anxious about this and I want to reassure you that it’s okay and normal to be feeling this way and having these concerns.

Applying for a job and the process can bring up lots of feelings and make us pretty nervous, and most people go through these same feelings – I know I certainly have had similar experiences. Whilst these feelings are normal and it’s okay to have them, there are also ways to help navigate through them and make you feel better about it.

I wanted to share this article with you that might be helpful to have a read through before an interview. During the interview, you can also ask some questions to the interviewer and raise any concerns you may have. Would you feel comfortable doing this?

I know you mentioned that you were anxious about talking to clients and people and wanted to share this article with you around building self-confidence.

When starting a new role, it does take time to learn everything and adjust to it which is something people are very understanding and mindful of. Making mistakes or doing the wrong thing is all part of learning and something everyone goes through. If you do need some more support with learning or anything else, you can speak to someone from Human Resources.

I know you also mentioned that you were worried about being yelled at which is understandable as no one deserves to be yelled at and it is never okay. Work should be a safe space and environment and your employer has a responsibility to make sure that it is. If you are being bullied or treated unfairly at work, you can speak to someone in Human Resources. I also wanted to share this article with you as I thought it might give you some comfort knowing about your rights and what to do if you do experience any form of bullying at work.

Have you been able to speak to anyone about this and get any support? Or have you heard back from the NDIS about what supports you have? I’m wondering if you could get some support through a job service where you can work through some of your concerns and get some help preparing you for the interview and leading up to it.

Remember we are all her for you! 💜
