Hi Fishyie,
How was the rest of your week? I know you mentioned that you were feeling a bit better on Thursday after getting a good night's sleep - were you also feeling a bit better on Friday?
I just wanted to add that something I find helpful when struggling with feelings of guilt for taking sick/personal leave (whether that is for physical or mental health) is remembering how I feel/think when I see my co-workers doing it - not once have I ever thought that they are somehow letting the team down, or that they should push through how they are feeling. Rather, I, and I assume the rest of my team, only hope that they are taking proper care of themselves at home and are giving their mind and/or body the rest it needs.
I think a lot of the time, we show far less compassion to ourselves than we do to other people, which is a shame. You absolutely do not need to feel guilty for looking after yourself, just as you would not want other people to feel guilty for doing the same 💛
