I don't handle constructive feedback very well. I'm very black and white so I end up concluding I am a failure even if I've been given positive feedback at the same time!
If it were you in the situation I would tell you that you are still learning and are absolutely doing your best. Don't let it discourage you but also don't feel the need to overwork yourself. Change is still change even if it is gradual.
I've been giving my 1000% at work and better still other collegues have abeen complimenting me so for me this really came out of nowhere.
I'm trying not to take the feedback too seriously. Luckily for me I have the whole Easter holidays to figure out a plan of how to gradually have more initiative in the classroom.
But for now, I think I will try to take a load off and enjoy the holidays. 💜
