Hey @Cinnamon_Bear 🧸
Friendship at school can be so tough, especially when it feels like everyone else around us has their group. It can be so hard not to compare ourselves to others and feel that strong sense of loneliness.
Please know that you are definitely not alone in feeling this way. For many people, friendship is really hard and something we can feel insecure about.
It is great that you have a close friend, I hope they are a good source of support. Sometimes having a 'connecting person' such as this friend to introduce you into their group can be a good way to meet some new people in a way that hopefully feels less scary than reaching out to someone by yourself.
If you are keen to look into some more articles, ReachOut have some resources around anxiety, anxiety in social settings, and feeling lonely.
So many of us can relate to that anxious feeling when we think about seeking out some new friendships. It is totally normal. Thinking about ways that you might be ablet to take some small steps that don't feel overwhelming can be a good way to go about it.
We are here to support you in that journey. I hope you can treat yourself with kindness and patience along the way 🌸✨
