How I like to practice self care

I often find myself feeling anxious or worrying over things, typically uni and sometimes work. However, I feel I've come a long way in being able to deal with these and generally feeling a lot more calm and collected and no longer feeling so worried about future exams or upcoming events.

I think what helps me so much is firstly understanding that, if something is out of my control, why should I stress over it? If a delay happens or something goes wrong, yet there was nothing I could do about it, of course that's a letdown, but why get worked up over it? I tell myself it is what it is, and it is not my fault it'll be alright.

Secondly, I find physical activity has overall boosted my mood and increased my positive outlook. At first it was just gym, but now it's become sports. Challenging myself alongside others I have noticed has really built up much more mental resilience and increased my positive attitudes. I really believe this has played quite a big role in helping me feel a lot less anxious especially when I look at how I reacted to obstacles three or so years ago compared to now.
