This is a great idea for a post since I'm sure almost all of us feel stuck at points throughout our lives.
When I'm particularly unmotivated, such as when I'm trying to finish an assignment I've been dreading, I remind myself that it'll be over soon. So many times in my life have I felt like I was living in a perpetual bad dream, only for life to change and for the past to really turn into a mere dream. For some reason, thinking about this gives me the push I need to unstick myself.
Also, consider how we only ever live in the present. We can't see the past or the future in real time. This gives us quite a narrow perspective since it makes the present feel eternal in a way, which might contribute to the sense of confinement. When you live in increments, you only realise how much time has passed when you look back at all the accumulated increments. You also realise how insignificant many things are, although it's perfectly normal and even good to care about things in the present. When I remind myself of this, I remember that I'm never truly stuck because time and space are always moving me along, and I will feel like I've moved if I look back on my life in years' time.
On a less metaphysical level, doing other productive tasks could later help with translating that energy to the things you feel stuck with. By productive, I mean anything that produces something, even if the product is a mindset. For example, my opinion is that creative tasks are inherently expansive; they're made to stretch your mind, and by "moving" in your mind, you are by definition unsticking yourself. A creative task might be the thing you feel stuck with, so maybe experimenting with a different medium, purely for fun, could help. Painting swirls or mixing colours, writing a diary entry or reading great literary works. Anything you like!
