I'm cis, but I feel so angry for the trans and gender diverse people who are subjected to this awful political and media climate. The program was disgusting, with only one reasonable voice, the professor's, representing the vast majority of trans people. The cisheteropatriarchy doesn't do any good for us if it's something that has to be incessantly and repeatedly enforced (thank you Judith Butler). You and any gender diverse person here have my full support.
I'm so happy to hear of your gender euphoria, and I love the way you describe it as "look[ing] like me." I enjoy consuming art made by trans people as a form of witnessing trans joy, because firstly, good art brings me joy, and secondly, the creation of art symbolises immortalisation to me, which in this case includes the preservation of transness throughout time. Namely, I like the music by trans artists Ethel Cain and SOPHIE, though I wouldn't go to Ethel Cain's music for joy.
