This is a fantastic post and makes me reflect on my year. Your camp sounds like it was lots of fun and you really got something out of it. 

My impactful event was travelling to Cambodia. I went with a group for volunteer and community work and it has made a huge impact that I want to go back in the next year or 2 to do it all over again. 

The people I was with were so inclusive and cared so much, especially when they realised this was my first time travelling alone they looked out for me. They were also so selfless by wanting to be there and contribute and help those families. This was buying extra food or toys to give to families and children they were helping. It helps give you a perspective that there are good people who care out there even if you don't see it every day.
