Life can be painful and I totally get you.
It's great that you can see your GP for some help. And I hope that goes well.
If you are feeling scared, something I find that helps is deep breathing exercises. Like breathing in for 5 seconds, then holding for 5 seconds, then breathing out for 5 seconds. And repeating for at least 10 times. I'm not sure if it will work because it depends on the person and circumstances. But by focusing on your breathing, it can't take your focus off your feelings. You could give that a try, idk.
Anyway, I hope everything gets figured out and you feel better. Hang in there and keep going.
