Hi @Mango_Crocodile ,
Welcome to the forums and Australia.
Sorry to hear about all you're struggling with. You must really miss your family and everyone back home. I understand what it's like to miss someone and I know how much it can hurt. Especially when you can't just go and see them.
I know video calls and messaging isn't the same, but it's a great way to connect when you are far apart. So you could do that.
It's must be so hard to feel like your host family is taking advantage of you. Have you talked to them about that? I understand that you might not feel comfortable doing that because you might not know them that well. And that's ok. You don't have to talk to them about it, but it might be helpful. However, I don't know all the details, so I can't tell you what to do and I don't even know whether that would be something good to do.
It's so frustrating when every coping strategy you try fails to help. But I think it's still important to look after yourself. When none of my coping strategies work, sometimes just keeping busy does. But you also need the right balance of work and rest, because your emotions are valid and should not be ignored.
The forums on ReachOut are great for chatting when you are feeling down and need some support. So I hope you find it as helpful as it has been for me. The community is also great for when you feel lonely.
