Hey Lemon_Dolphin

I just want to point out the fact that I am really proud of you for putting your needs first and looking out for yourself and wellbeing, which can be hard to do sometimes. This is a bit of tough one because our parents want what's best for us and are always looking out for us, however, this can sometimes mean that they don't know what's really best for us, particularly for our mental health.

There is nothing wrong with taking something slow. In fact, I feel as though taking your time with your studies allows you to absorb the content a lot more and really take advantage of all your units. Like you said, taking your time with studying also gives you flexibility and allows you to do a lot more i.e. get a job and start saving up, prioritising your wellbeing, taking breaks, going out, investing in your hobbies, etc. I can understand how frustrating it is to feel like you are not being heard, especially when you are hearing the other person, but just know that you are doing what feels right for you at the moment!

Since you mentioned you are thinking about doing two units next trimester and starting your diploma early, I think when the time comes and you still feel like this you should, as you can always drop a unit and do it in the next trimester!

Good Luck! I hope my post validates how you feel! You aren't doing anything wrong, everyones journey looks different! Trust yourself and back yourself with your decisions!
