Hey @Lemon_Dolphin !
I am so glad you have posted about the post-counselling feels. I have heard someone describe it as an "emotion hangover" - all the feels hid even harder after the session, and can feel so heavy. I hope that over time, being vulnerable during your counselling sessions becomes easier and you leave feeling less emotionally taxed.
In saying this, I want to talk about how brave it is that you have chosen to trust someone in supporting your mental health. These tough feelings that you are chatting about is often the reason people avoid going to see a counsellor - so good on you! You should be super proud of yourself.
It's also super impressive to hear that despite your busy schedule, you are making the time to prioritise your mental health, see friends and engage in self care with your tea and candle! You are doing awesome.
