Hey @Lemon_Dolphin
Studying with depression can be really challenging. The pomodoro technique seems to be generally helpful for concentration. You study for 25 minutes then take a 5-minute break. After 4 study periods (2 hours including breaks) you take a 15–30-minute break.
On days where I just couldn’t focus, I found it helpful to set a timer for 10 minutes. If after 10 minutes I still couldn’t focus, I’d stop and do something else. Most of the time I’d finish those 10 minutes and continue studying. It helped me feel less guilty about not being able to focus because I knew I was trying.
If you’re struggling to read, it might be helpful to have a program read out the content for you (especially when the readings are boring). There’s an extension call Read & Write that does this.
Make sure you pace yourself, it’s really easy to burnout when you’re depressed. Try not to push yourself too hard, you can always try again tomorrow.
