Hey @littlesootsprite thanks for sharing a bit more about what's been going on for you. It sounds like you're feeling quite isolated and unsupported, which makes sense given you've lost your friend group and the person you are close to doesn't provide with the support you are needing and deserve. It's really unfair that you've been treated like you are a burden and are judged because on the outside you seem "fine". This is sadly such a common experience for people with conditions that aren't obvious as others. I hope you know that you are not lazy or a burden. In fact, it sounds like you have to try that much harder than the average person to get through the day. Diabetes can take up so much time and effort (both physical and mental) to manage each day, and it can impact so many parts of your life and your health.
It's really good to hear you've been able to connect with another person with diabetes. Often connecting with others who have shared or similar experiences can make a huge difference. It sounds like you really pushed yourself out of your comfort zone to get to the music event as well. It seems like you've also made another connection on here with @louie_al3x who has lived experience of diabetes as well
I wonder if peer support from other individuals with diabetes is something that could be worth exploring further?
I just wanted to gently remind you about the email we sent yesterday. We would really appreciate if you could reply to our email as we are concerned about you
