World Bipolar Day (March 30th)
Today is World Bipolar Day, which is celebrated each year on March 30th. This date corresponds with the birthday of the Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh, who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder after he died.
Last night, our very own @Stormy-RO hosted a Weekly Wellbeing: Life with Bipolar to talk about their own bipolar journey, tackling shame and stigma, self care strategies, and advice on supporting others with bipolar disorder.
World Bipolar Day brings us together towards the goal of increased awareness, acceptance, and funding for people impacted by bipolar disorder. You can read more about the day on the Bipolar Australia website here or check out ReachOut's collection of resources on bipolar here.
