Hi @Monkey_D_Silly

It's so lovely to hear about your awakening! Being aroace is perfectly valid, and it's great that you've come to feel better about that aspect of your identity. It's kind of ironic that you feel stupid about admitting your awakening compared to allosexual people (people who experience sexual attraction), because even allosexual awakenings can feel a bit shameful for different reasons. Ultimately, sexual awakenings are deeply personal and unique experiences, and none of them, including yours, are inherently bad or silly.

I'd like to echo @mw24 's sentiment of the diversity of love. You can absolutely still find love as an aroace person. Aroace people are still capable of being in fulfilling relationships that are based on strong platonic or queerplatonic love. Relationships aren't a necessity for everyone, but they're still an option for you if you do want that experience of having your "person."
