Hi Matcha_Toad! 💚
I am so sorry to hear about your bad experience with Centrelink today. It can be really upsetting when you don't feel heard or understood. Feeling anxious or overwhelmed is understandable, especially when the call didn't go as expected.
Although under different circumstances, I have dealt with Centrelink many times before and I know it can be very frustrating. I find it is a lot easier to go in person to a centre, that way you can speak face-to-face and communicate a bit clearer. However, given that you don't drive and there's no public transport I understand this may be tricky.
I see how only being to choose from two job providers would also be frustrating, and it can be easy to worry about what they might suggest. I think when you speak to them, tell them about your plans to live and work in Melbourne and they may help you. They should not force you to do anything.
I'm sorry I don't have any specific advice or experience. All I can say is don't give up!! I know it is very stressful but once it is all sorted out it will be a great relief. Take your time, maybe wait until July 5th if you can, to get your results and proof of completion. It may take longer than you wished and may take more effort, but I know you are capable 🫶🏻🫶🏻
