I'm so sorry for your loss. I had to put my cat down a few years ago too, it was such a tough experience. I got a little tattoo of my cat to keep her memory close and it's been very comforting for me.

It's great that you have support around you and are planning to talk to your psychologist. Sharing your feelings with friends/family/online can be very therapeutic, I found journalling helped me a lot too.
