I love that you have taken the initiative to start seeing a professional that is the biggest and hardest step in my experience.
I currently work at a psych clinic and the psychs I work with recommend planning something relaxing after your session before you even attend it so there isn't any difficulty in picking what to do afterwards. Lucky for the clinic I am at, their is a park down the road so a lot of people go their for a walk to decrompress and process their sessions.
Everyone is different though so it is really dependent on what you enjoy and what calms you down / boosts your energy.
Personally I like to get a little sweet treat like a donut after something draining.
And since you are seeing a helpful counsellour you can always ask her for her advice as well 🥳
