Hi @Green_Ghost
Firstly. Iconic that you finish your degree in psych and counselling this year so do I!!
I can not tell you how many people I know have had problems with their managers and I don’t know your age but as a younger person I feel like it can be really difficult to speak up and say how you feel at work. Sometimes I feel like the older staff can also just think they can treat you any which way because you’re young.
I really do think that having a conversation first and saying how you don’t like the comments and would like her to stop would be good. Maybe you could say if any customers mention issues with my service I will gladly take the constructive comments on but I do smile when serving customers and your repetitive comments make me feel bad.
Alternatively if you want to skip that conversation all together (I know it can be scary and awkward) maybe you could find the context of a higher up and let them know how you’re feeling. If the supermarket has any other locations convenient for you maybe you could change places?
With coping I would just say find activities before and after work you enjoy to make easier to get through with things to look forward too. Focus on the future or if none of that works talk to the staff her or an above.
Either way congratulations on almost being done with uni!!! That’s a huge milestone and you have a lot of new career opportunities to look forward to soon.
