This situation is so similar to something I had to go through at my last job! Awesome manager left and evil overlord manager who had a mystery problem with me arrived lol - I was also waiting to finish my degree before I quit but seriously got to the point of almost giving up because of the stress of having to see this manager.
How I finally managed it was similar to what someone else has mentioned in this thread - kill them with kindness! Once I decided I didn't care about the job all that much and just wanted to bide my time to save money - I decided anything this manager said? I agree! I don't smile enough (I got this one too because of my RBF)? Oh so sorry! I'll fix that! Then Joker smiling the whole shift. This job I want you to do hasn't been done yet? Oh so sorry! I'll go do it right now and do it in the most efficient way possible!
It become a kind of game for me - could I agree with her enough that she would get over her weird hatred of me and actually end up liking me/leaving me alone? And since it was a game, all the hurtful things she said stopped upsetting me as much and almost became funny - like you don't know it but I'm slowly making you like me!
By the time I quit we definitely weren't friends but she had stopped bothering me & basically just left me alone!
This is such a tough position to be in, especially when it makes work even harder than it should be - but just remember you're almost done with a degree AND this job! You're doing amazing!
