Hello @Matcha_Toad ,

Thank you for sharing this. I definitely empathise with your experience, although in a slightly different way. My partner is FIFO so he is away for 3 weeks at a time, and then home for 1, and the cycle repeats. Whilst, we do get time together each month, when he leaves it still is difficult. As time has gone on, and I've become more comfortable with the time away, I think it's definitely important to keep yourself busy for the first couple of days. Often, when I have time to think about the situation, I find myself getting sad, so I typically spend the first few days away spending time with family, watching TV shows he doesn't enjoy/watch with me, and catching up with friends. This advice might not suit you, but I strongly suggest finding a routine 🌹

Unfortunately, I do not have any advice for your career as I too am in the same position. I have never been completely confident in my university decisions, however I am just pushing through. I think the best thing that has worked for me is a pros and cons list. It encouraged me to think of strengths and weaknesses and what might be best suited to myself and my lifestyle.

All the best! 💓
