Sounds like you are very over-welmed and caught off-guard. I would pause and reconsider where my feeling is stemming from:

1. He is your best friend and it is normal to feel jealous when your best friend has divided his time and attention to someone else. If so, it seems that you just need to get used to this, especially if he starts a relationship... perhaps get to know the girl as well? 

2. You might have developed/ realised your romantic feelings for him. If so I would be honest with him about it. I fully understand the fear of loosing a best friend once you take it to a romantic direction, so it really is up to you and him to make the decision.
