Study Tip <3
Hi All!!! I'm new to the community, however, I've seen so many uplifting posts on this forum that I thought id join in and share some study tips I've recently implemented in my current Uni semester!!
- Mindmapping: The conrel note method is great, however instead of writing a paragraph at the end of each set of notes, I've been taking up a whole page to mindmap all of the concepts for that week, i then put them onto a large mindmap so I can see them all in relation to each other!
- Self-made Short Answer Questions: this is something the university I go to has implemented as a 'homework' task but I have decided to keep up with it as it is a great way to practice SAQ's when it comes to exam season! If you struggle with this I recommend getting ChatGPT to come up with a couple for you and then you can practice your answers!!
-Post-it notes: this is a revived technique from high school, if there is a concept you feel you're not familiar with, write it on a post-it note and then stick it up in a place in your room/house that you look at or are in a lot, you will subconsciously pick up that info!!!
- taking breaks, it's easy to feel like all of the 'good' students who do well spend all of their time studying, but in reality, it's important to have some balance, if you're drained but want to study a little, something like the mindmaps or watching a youtube video about the concept might be a nice passive way to study, but ultimately you should take a rest and come back to it when you've got a bit more energy! It's a marathon DEFINITELY not a sprint!
Thanks for reading if you do! Feel free to comment your own study techniques because I'm still expanding my 'study repitoir'
