Thanks for sharing, that sounds really hard to deal with. People dissociate for a variety of reasons. Sometimes simply not getting enough sleep or being stressed out is enough to trigger it. It’s really something that requires professional attention. Hopefully your therapist can work with you to figure out what’s going on. Grounding activities that help you reconnect with your body can be helpful if your experiencing dissociation. Are there any activities that are distracting enough for you to not notice the dissociation? It can be really hard to concentrate on activities but maybe something like listening to music is doable. If you keep feeling like there’s something behind you, it’s important to mention it to your therapist. They can provide you with advice on how to manage.
