I am making my first post and thought I would share about my latest favourite self care routines/activities...

 

I am probably a little late to the game with this one, but I have gotten into a great habit lately using the focus functions that my iPhone offers. I have set up the automatic functions of Do Not Disturb to switch on around bedtime which includes a dark screen, limited notifications (except for important contacts), and only having access to my alarm clock and music apps. I have also set up a Study mode which limits unnecessary notifications but allows access to study apps, my calendar and all my necessary apps that I use for school and work.

 

I think it’s important to have moments of disconnect to feel refreshed for the next time I’m on shift at work or in the classroom for Tafe and anything that is automated that I don't have to think about and just creates better habits for me (an avid social media rabbit hole gal) I'm just obsessed with.

 

I'm also trying to get into "micro-learning" more when I catch public transport rather than listening to the same music over and over again. Does anyone have favourite podcasts or audiobooks that they really love? I am currently loving The Rich Roll Podcast on Spotify as each episode has a different expert or someone with lived experience speaking to a particular topic that they are very knowledgeable in. I just have to remember to try and play it rather than music!
