Hi @Cinnamon_Dove

I just wanted to jump in here and say a few things.

I couldn't agree more that it would be extremely hard trying to be a supportive wife and therapist for your husband, while also trying to look after your own mental health and manage all of life's responsibilities. I know from personal experience how hard it can be to take care of or support another person while still struggling with your own mental health issues; especially on your low/hard days.

I think the best advice I could give if for the both of you to seek therapy/counselling individually. I believe that the more we look after ourselves and work on ourselves, the more we'll be able to show up in our relationships and have the ability to support those we love without draining or hurting ourselves.

Overcoming an addiction of any kind is really challenging, and there will be both steps forward and steps backwards when trying to beat addiction. Having a strong support system in place for the both of you is so important in this journey. A person overcoming addiction can't do it alone, and a person supporting someone with addiction can't do it alone either.

I hope what I've said has helped a little bit.
