Thanks for this. It’s so easy to get caught in the trap of comparison with influences. It’s hard because their image can feel completely real when it’s actually so heavily curated that it’s almost no longer reality. You’re completely right, there is always a brand to uphold. I wonder how many influences feel trapped in their niche.  

I usually try to combat any comparison by thinking of the aspects of my life that I love and that I wouldn’t give up for anything. Sort of like “yeah well, they might have xyz, but if I were them, I wouldn’t get to have my dogs/friends/family. I’m happy.” Everyone has a unique life to live. I really don’t think it works to try and emulate someone else.
